Innovation Tour at The Virtual Foundry

Make A Laser-Engraved Keychain at Fab Lab Stoughton

In this workshop you will make a custom keychain using lasers. We start by creating a design on the computer or drawing a design on paper and scanning it. Then a laser engraves that design on acrylic or wood and we cut it into the shape of a keychain and attach a keyring.

Make A Laser-Engraved Stamp at Fab Lab Stoughton

In this workshop, you will customize a rubber stamp, engrave it onto laser-able rubber, then cut it out to put it on a block of wood. You will leave with a fully custom rubber stamp.

Intro to 3D Printing Design Workshop – SOLD OUT

In this hands-on workshop led by a Stoughton High School Fab Lab Instructor, you will learn how to use SolidWorks software to design your own simple pencil cup that will be 3D printed. You’ll leave this workshop with the skills to start designing for 3D printing on your own. Learn more and register.

Stoughton Children’s Business Fair

The Children’s Business Fair is an opportunity for kids ages 6-14 to create a product or service, develop a brand, build a marketing strategy, and open for customers at this one-day marketplace.

During this presentation, you’ll learn the simple metrics behind audience measurements allowing you to compare your options ‘apples to apples’, how to start your advertising analysis with the consumer first, and how to set your campaign to be measured by something more meaningful than having to ask, “How did you hear about us?”

Inflation Reduction Act
Rural Energy for America Program
There are many opportunities out there to help fund clean energy upgrades in your business or home, including tax credits and rebates from the Inflation Reduction Act, grants and loans through the Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) and Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE). Speakers are Kathy Kuntz, Director, Dane County Office of Energy & Climate Change and Brenda Heinen, USDA Rural Development Western States Regional Coordinator.

Revolving Loan Fund Presentation
The Stoughton Redevelopment Authority (RDA) has two Revolving Loan Funds to assist business and commercial property owners with building rehabilitation (interior and exterior), building construction, and furniture, fixtures, and equipment. Businesses and mixed-use properties in the City of Stoughton are eligible for a loan up to $50,000.
